Denominational and Interfaith Work

For though my faith is not yours and your faith is not mine, if we each are free to light our own flame, together we can banish some of the darkness of the world.

Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks

Our denomination is made up of individuals, congregations, leaders and ministers who wrestle with and love into our values and principles.  We all work to strengthen the bonds between us and bring our message of hope into the world.  I am inspired by our dedication and love.

It is with our interfaith partners that we join together to amplify our shared values and work toward a world that is more peaceful and just.  We can do more together than we can do alone, and it is the work of building relationships across barriers that deepens our spirituality and repairs the world. We inspire each other to live our principles and live into the interdependent web.

As an association of congregations, we recognize the power of coming together and the importance of congregational identity and governance. In this way, we seek to blend the strengths of individual and community, both.
