Hey UUCH! I am so excited to meet you and learn more about each of you. Before we are finally able to meet in person, I wanted you to be able to learn a little about my story, and my life outside of ministry.
I grew up in Yorktown Virginia with an awesome family and some very cute pets. In 2013, I moved to Boston to study at Boston University and majored in religion, graduating with Honors. In 2016, I continued on to Harvard Divinity School to pursue my Master’s of Divinity. I was so lucky to get to learn with an inspiring and diverse cohort of students and professors. Their wisdom and friendship comes with me in my ministry.
Right now as I am finishing up my internship at the UU Church in Reading Mass, I am also working as a barista at the Starbucks in Harvard Square. I call this my more caffeinated ministry, and I am really enjoying getting to know my regulars and getting to take care of the people experiencing homelessness who spend their days in our store.
Currently I share a lovely little apartment with some friends on the east side of Somerville, where we spend our evenings watching Netflix together and eating tacos from the local taquerias in our neighborhood. I have been so blessed to have an amazing network of friends and colleagues who laugh with me, teach me things and bring so much joy to my life. We sing and dance, cook and play together, and having these friendships makes my life more beautiful.
For hobbies I like to do art projects, go for walks, go out dancing with friends, go thrift shopping, and try out new recipes. I am also really family oriented and so I spend a lot of my free time Skyping my family or making the trip down to Virginia to visit them. Here’s a selection of fun memories and experiences from my life.
