Update your menus

Once you have adding your content to the pages you need to add them to the menu for your website. When you have completed adding all the menu items it will look something like this:

  1. To begin from the Dashboard -> Appearance click on Menus. (Tutorial material adopted from Compete Themes, Founder Theme designer)
  2. On the left-side, locate the Pages box
  3. To begin building the menu start by checking off only the main menu items, i.e. Ministry, Leadership, About Me and Contact.
  4. Click the Add to Menu button to add them to your menu
  5. Click the blue Save Menu button to save your changes

Now that you have created a menu with the main Pages you may need to reorder the items

  1. In the Menu Structure section, locate a Page you want to reposition
  2. Click-and-hold on the Page you want to move, and drag it above or below another menu item to reposition
  3. When you’re finished, click the Save Menu button to save your changes

Now that you have created a menu with the main Pages you need to add the sub-menu items

  1. Visit the Menus page (Appearance → Menus)
  2. Add any pages you want included in the dropdown menu for example select Sermons and Services to add as a dropdown item under Ministry
  3. Click-and-drag a page you want in the dropdown menu after the main menu item
  4. Click-and-drag that same page to the right until it indents
  5. Repeat this for all of the pages you want adding them under their appropriate main menu item
  6. Click the blue Save Menu button to save your changes

Note: When dragging-and-dropping, you’ll likely notice that you can create menus that are multiple tiers deep. Founder officially supports menus that are up to three tiers deep.  In most cases you will only need two tiers.
