Even before my call to ministry, I was active in the Ohio Meadville District of the UUA in two ways. The first was through a magical all-ages summer camp held in Ohio called Summer Institute, where 500 UU’s spend a week on a college campus filled with worship, music, workshops, and fun. I served on the planning committee for Summer Institute for two years. Second was my time being involved with youth cons while my two sons were teenagers. Thanks to this experience I’ve slept on the floor or the pews of most of the UU sanctuaries in Ohio. More recently, I have attended two General Assemblies: Columbus in 2016 and Kansas City in 2018.
I have been involved in interfaith work during my internship in Wooster, Ohio, serving on the interfaith ministry council, the interfaith social justice committee and its housing subcommittee.
