Biography

I was born and raised in eastern Massachusetts; then I went to college and graduate school in western Massachusetts. I discovered Unitarian Universalism in 1999 and began attending the UU Church in Amherst, Massachusetts. This was during my teaching career and shortly after my two children were born. I moved to Oberlin, Ohio in 2001 and I have been a member of the Oberlin UU Fellowship ever since. I worked at Oberlin College while raising my children in Oberlin. My call to ministry came in 2016 when I decided to switch from a career in education to a career in ministry.

I love singing, hiking, and jogging. I am part of a men’s group for spiritual deepening and personal growth. I gather with family members to watch the Patriots and Red Sox play. My favorite place is Acadia National Park in Maine.
